Ramiran 2006, 12th International Conference of the FAO ESCORENA Network on Recycling of Agricultural, Municipal and Industrial Residues in Agriculture

Ramiran Conference Venue Letter of invitation

As agreed during our last Conference in Spain , the 12 th RAMIRAN International Conference will be organized in Denmark, from Monday the 11th till Wednesday the 13rd of September 2006 by the Danish Institute of Agricultural Sciences (DIAS). The Conference organizer is Dr Sven SOMMER and Dr. Søren O. PETERSEN (scientifict coordinator), from the knowledge centre of Animal Manure and Biomass Technology.

The major theme of the Conference is
"TECHNOLOGY FOR RECYCLING OF MANURE AND ORGANIC RESIDUES IN A WHOLE-FARM PERSPECTIVE"

Specific subjects include :
•  Energy production - biofuel & biogas, incineration
•  Livestock production, ammonia and greenhouse gases
•  Treatment technologies for organic effluents
•  Measuring and monitoring nutrient flows and emissions
•  Merging models for predicting emission and leaching of plant nutrients
•  Technology needs in the developing world
